![]() ![]() I reviewed the rendering code and found some potential issues, but nothing that I think should be impacting depth checks, which is the likely cause of seeing things through walls. I redid most of that code in 1.17 because some changes in the Minecraft code made it possible to implement it in a nicer way. There could be two places where this goes wrong for you: either the reflection rendering somehow goes wrong, or the rendering of the mirror goes wrong. The mirror itself is simply rendered using this texture. If I recall correctly, Optifine was not an issue for others in 1.16.5, so I suspect it is some other mod.Ī little about how the mirror works: A completed mirror will cause the game to render the mirror reflection to a texture, before the world is rendered. Unfortunately this will still be very difficult for me to reproduce. If there is two dragon heads, both reflections are fully red. This also happens if I place two mirrors, but only one of the mirrors has a full red reflection, the other one is only half (if there is one dragon head). When tested with the two dragon heads, my entire reflection turned red, and it did not change if I turned away or got close unlike the other one. This doesn't happen if I look slightly to the side or if I am extremely close to the mirror. I also want to throw in that if I look directly at the mirror the bottom half of my reflection turns red, but not the top. It is only when the mirror is completed (top and bottom pieces connected). I used dragon heads to test, and noticed if I place another dragon head it completely destroys the texture of the first placed dragon head at certain angles. It seems to be "entity" based things, ranging from the dragon head to mobs, but only sometimes for the mobs. As long as whatever the item it affects is behind a wall. I tested it in a new world, far from any villages or anything like that. I don't need to look at the mirror to activate the issue, it activates when I'm close enough to get a reflection, but that includes me being on the other side of the wall to the room the mirror is in. It's the core object to the underwater structures you build to allow you to see and breathe underwater, they were introduced in 1.13 (the Aquatic Update). Conduits for example, are not a mod.they're from vanilla MC. Yes, I am playing with a lot of other mods but not everything affected by this issue has any connection with my other mods. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. ![]() If you enjoy it, please let me know in the comments! Please do not redistribute it without contacting me first. You are free to use this mod in mod packs. It may occasionally get bug fixes, but will most likely not get any new features. New features will be implemented on the highest version and will often be backported to other versions. The 1.14.4, 1.15.2, 1.16.5, 1.17.1, and 1.18 versions are actively maintained and will receive bug fixes as needed. ![]() This mod was designed to impact performance as little as possible.
